Spring in Service

This spring, Augusta Elks Lodge No. 205 proudly carried out a series of heartfelt events that reflected our enduring commitment to community, service, and fellowship. From celebrating the important people in our lives to honoring local heroes and supporting those in need, the Lodge has remained a pillar of compassion and connection in the Augusta area.

Celebrating the Heart of the Family: Mother’s Day Brunch

We welcomed the season by honoring mothers with a special Mother’s Day Brunch. Members and guests came together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere to celebrate family, friendship, and the spirit of giving. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.

Honoring Everyday Heroes

As part of our ongoing commitment to gratitude and recognition, we hosted a Teachers and Nurses Appreciation Night. This special evening paid tribute to the hard work, compassion, and dedication of the professionals who help shape and care for our community every day. It was a joyful gathering full of fellowship, appreciation, and camaraderie.

Remembering Our Veterans

In May, we once again assembled our annual Veterans Memorial display at Platt’s Funeral Home. This solemn and powerful tribute honored the brave men and women who served our nation and made the ultimate sacrifice. The display stands as a testament to our Lodge’s unwavering dedication to honoring and remembering our veterans.

Extending a Hand

Community outreach remained at the heart of our spring efforts. We were honored to host Richmond County foster families for a joyful and inclusive event, offering a safe and supportive space for connection and fun. In addition, we proudly held a major fundraiser that raised approximately $17,000 for the families of Columbia County Sheriff Deputies who tragically lost their lives in the line of duty. The overwhelming generosity shown during this event exemplifies the spirit of charity that defines our Lodge.

These spring events highlight the mission of Augusta Elks Lodge No. 205: to uplift, support, and strengthen the community we are proud to serve. Through service, remembrance, and heartfelt connection, we continue to build a legacy rooted in care, compassion, and unity.
